The aim of this project was the creation of a travel guide on a port city and i decide to realize one about Rotterdam. I have chosen this city because i am a fan of the Netherlands and i was curious to discover a different place than Amsterdam. I have investigated the construction of my favorite magazines like Vice Magazine or Etapes for the model of the guide and decided which side of Rotterdam i wanted to present. My choice has fallen upon on the wide, the architecture, graphics, art galleries, drinks and dining, foods market, bicyclette and “Marie-Jeanne”. These topics are illustrated with numerous color and black and white photographies. The guide is composed of 32 pages and with two different fonts: trade gothic (regular and italic) and futura condensed medium.The final result is a simple, minimalist, uncluttered and singular travel guide who put forward city highlights. All designs have been created on indesign.
